In Memoriam Tribute: Martha Urioste

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Dr. Martha Urioste. She transitioned from this world Thursday, December 8, 2022. Dr. Martha was one of the first persons to bring Montessori to the public sector in Colorado. She was among the first Hispanic-American counselors in the Denver Public Schools, established Family Star – a national 0 – 3 Early Head Start Center based on the Montessori research model, and published her book, The Family Star Story in 2016.
