Board Member Opportunities at AMI/USA

AMI/USA is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC. AMI/USA is dedicated to bringing the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori to the education of children through its support and advancement of the AMI Montessori community in the United States. AMI/USA is a primary operational affiliate of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. With the support of AMI’s global network and initiatives, AMI/USA maintains the world view critical to the education of today’s children and to our responsibility to humans, not just within the United States, but across the world.

Through her scientific observation of children all over the world, Dr. Montessori found consistent, naturally developing tendencies and characteristics that would serve as the foundation for the creation of optimally prepared environments that would encourage and support the realization of children’s full potential.
