The Montessori Academy of North Hoffman is seeking a Lead Primary Directress for the 2022-2023 school year. We are a 3-campus school serving children ages 3 month through 18 years. 

Successful candidates will:

-Hold a Primary Montessori credential from a MACTE Montessori approved trained center

-Have a passion for authentic Montessori practice 

-A minimum of a bachelor’s degree

-Have a belief in the ability of each child 

-Have a good sense of community and willingness to collaborate with others

-Have good verbal, written and interpersonal skills

-Have the ability to embrace the culture of the school

Responsibilities include:

-Preparation of the Montessori environment

-Plan, implement & record children’s progress

-Assist in supervising with the classroom assistant, aide, interns, substitutes or parent volunteers

-Collaborate with all specialty teachers 

-Facilitate a respectful environment for children and adults by advocating conflict resolution

-Implement grace, courtesy and character-building lessons

-Ensure respectful and open lines of communication with parents. Blog weekly and be available to parents through written communication, setting up conferences and educating parents with Montessori philosophy

-Participate in Parent Education Sessions

-Assess prospective children when visiting the school

-Provide first aid if needed and complete appropriate forms for parents

-Attend all faculty meetings and staff events
