Primary Montessori Assistant

Aidan Montessori School in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant teacher for our Primary program. This is a full-time, fully-benefitted, long term substitute position with on-site hours from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM daily. Montessori-trained assistants with teaching experience at the Primary (3-6) level preferred but not required. Recent Montessori graduates with limited experience will also be considered.
Assistant will support the children in a Prepared Environment in accordance with Montessori guidelines, philosophy, pedagogy and methods appropriate for the particular age group to which they are assigned while following the School’s guidelines regarding COVID-19. Other duties may include supporting parent communications, parent-teacher conferences, making materials, and/or supervising small groups of children on an as needed basis.
