We are currently looking to hire an AMI trained Primary guide to take over one of our Primary classrooms starting in August 2021. Our current guide will become part of our administration and ideally we would like to make this transition in the next academic year.

We seek a teacher who is eager to follow and implement the Montessori philosophy and curriculum. Our successful candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a strong work ethic a positive attitude and a warm personality.

We are looking for a candidate who is an effective, communicator, team player and committed to professional and personal growth.

We would love to find someone with classroom experience, but we welcome new teachers. We are ready to offer the support and guidance needed to a newly trained teacher something we have done before. Alta Vista Montessori School was founded in 1998 and is currently offering authentic Montessori programs from Nido to Primary. We have been operating in person this COVID year very successfully although with fewer students and will be able to continue under the present circumstances as long as it is needed. During COVID we have made our staff’s and students’ health and safety our number one goal and we have been rigorously following all health and safety guidelines. The school is located in Libertyville, a northern suburb of Chicago that is a fantastic place to live and an easy commute to Chicago.
