Centennial Montessori School is an AMI-recognized school in the San Francisco Bay Area (20 miles south of San Francisco). We are excited to welcome a new AMI Guide to lead one of our Montessori Elementary classroom serving children from six to twelve years old for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. This classroom is a six to twelve year old established class within a wonderful Montessori community.

Centennial Montessori School is led by an AMI trained Head of School who was a Montessori child herself. The staff is passionate about implementing the philosophy faithfully, and there is ongoing professional development and support for teachers, including yearly attendance at the Refresher Course or EAA events. Parent education is a cornerstone of our community offerings and this focus results in a beautiful understanding on the part of parents and support of the teachers. Teachers receive full support and backing from the administration so that they can focus on the children and the classroom communities. Mostly though, we all just really like being together and can’t wait to welcome a new Montessorian to our school.

Qualifications:

AMI Montessori elementary teaching certification

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.

At least three years of experience teaching in a Montessori elementary classroom.

A true passion for teaching and the belief in the importance of creating a peaceful and harmonious learning community

Excellent communication skills to connect with children, staff, and support parents

Compensation:

Centennial Montessori School offers a competitive benefits package including a relocation package, a 401K plan with 4% match, health, dental and life insurance, and a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Position Details:

Full time position for the 2024-2025 academic year.  We would consider an immediate hire for the right person. The school year is August 7 or August 21 through June 15. Summer work is optional.
