Kennebec Montessori School (www.kennebecmontessori.org) is seeking a Primary Guide to join the faculty of our well-established school, the oldest in the beautiful State of Maine. We are looking for a candidate who embodies the Montessori philosophy while also possessing strong leadership and communication skills.

Our beautiful school is situated on 14 acres of fields and woodlands, with a stream and plenty of forest for our children to explore. Students can cross country ski in winter and learn about the growing process in our homemade hoop house and raised garden beds through the Spring and Summer. Our campus also includes several wooden play structures, a solar shed, and outside fenced yards for each classroom to maximize opportunities for outdoor learning. All of this overlooks a local farm with horses and cows grazing in the pasture. This serene outdoor environment pairs perfectly with our welcoming, educational programs rooted in the philosophy of Maria Montessori. Our school houses six classrooms: three primary classes of age 3-6 year-olds, two lower elementary classrooms of 6-9 year-olds, and one upper elementary classroom of 9-12 year-olds, all with the mission of nurturing a love of learning and fostering respect for self, others, and the environment.
