Childpeace Montessori is seeking a Primary Guide (Limited Duration, approximately August 2024 – June 2025) to join our Children’s House Program. The Primary Guide will lead an established classroom with 25 students alongside a supportive Assistant. This position works within the Children’s House Program that consists of four Primary Classrooms, two After School Care Clubrooms, and an Early Childhood Program Director.

Our ideal candidate has an AMI Primary Diploma (required), Bachelor’s degree (required) or higher, experience with 3 to 6 year-olds, and knowledge of the normal developmental needs and tendencies of the primary-aged child. They will ideally possess strong communication and organizational skills, embrace professional teamwork and collaboration, and bring a kind spirit to the important work of building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

This individual must register with Oregon Department of Education Early Learning Division, Central Background Registry prior to hire.

Schedule: Weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend commitments

Rate: $58,000 – $70,000 Annually DOE

*Offer of employment is dependent upon successful enrollment in the Oregon Office of Child Care’s (OCC) Central Background Registry (CBR).
