Association Montessori International of the United States (AMI/USA) is the primary operational affiliate of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Through support of the AMI global network and initiatives, AMI/USA maintains the world view critical to the education of today’s children and to our responsibility to humans not just within the United States but across the world. A few current initiatives with AMI include Montessori Education for Social Change, Aid to Life Parent Resources and Educateurs sans Frontières.

AMI/USA continues outreach and collaboration with AMI affiliates in the United States as well as kindred organizations that share the purpose of service to children. At AMI/USA, we believe in the transformational power of Montessori education. As a legacy organization, AMI/USA builds upon Montessori principles and pedagogy to meet the evolving needs of children, families, and educators. Through collaboration, research, resources, and advocacy, AMI/USA advances high-quality, accessible Montessori education for children in the United States.

AMI/USA partners with Montessori organizations to develop programs and win-win partnerships that increase community engagement, leverage innovative solutions to meet the current needs of schools, educators, children, and families in public and private sectors and support the retention and recruitment of more — and more diverse — educators and families.

Strategic collaborations advance accessible, high-quality Montessori education and attract broader — and more diverse — audiences to Montessori education. Vendors represent a diverse array of Montessori-inspired companies and do not always represent AMI-approved materials manufacturers. Material manufactured according to AMI blueprints is identified by an AMI logo.
