Marina Sáenz

Director of Communications & Digital Strategy
Marina Sáenz (she, ella, elle) is a historically detribalized community educator from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Marina received her Masters in Education, Montessori Integrated Learning from the T.I.E.S. program at Endicott College and received a Montessori elementary 6-12 credential. She taught Montessori elementary for 7 years and has been working with young people since 1999.
Marina began Montessori of the Oppressed, a project aimed at amplifying and uplifting BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ Montessorians in 2018. She also spent many years working alongside the Coalition of Immokalee Workers and recently collaborated to update curriculum that highlights the award-winning Fair Food Program as seen in the documentary film, Food Chains.
