On Building Character: The Elementary Child’s Moral Development in the Digital Age

$9.95

Just over a century ago human knowledge doubled approximately every century.  Today, our average knowledge doubles every 18 months. Additionally, every two days human beings collectively create as much information as we did from the dawn of humans until 2003. Considering this staggering pace of change, how do we prepare elementary children to enter a society which is vastly different than during Dr. Montessori’s time?  In this Information Age, Grace and Courtesy is more critical than ever as navigating technology requires an additional set of skills for building independence, self-confidence, and responsibility. Our children, ages 6-12, need experience and practice with these new skills to be well poised to enter society as contributing members.
