SunGarden Montessori in West Linn, OR has an immediate opening for a new Assistant Administrator to join our team. SunGarden is an AMI-recognized (primary) Montessori school with a well-established 40-year history in the community, serving children aged 15 months – 6 years. Mission-driven in all that we do, SunGarden strives to offer an optimal Montessori experience for all children and adults, aiding in the development of the whole child at all times. Under the oversight of the Administrator, the Assistant Administrator plays a lead role in managing the day-to-day operations of the school.
We are seeking a compassionate and highly-organized individual with a strong business mindset, who can help uphold our mission and values, and facilitate seamless operations of the school.
As the new Assistant Administrator, your general responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day school operations, e.g. billing, procurement, scheduling, maintenance
Adhering to an operating budget
Maintaining accurate documentation and record-keeping for staff, students, and facility
Participation in student/family recruitment, enrollment, and onboarding process
Participation in coordination and hosting of community outreach events
Driving processes related to health and safety, e.g. immunization reporting, safety drills, inspections
Interfacing with families to address questions/concerns and create a space for community-building
Nurturing the strong culture embedded in the fabric of the school
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, early childhood education or other related field
2 years of classroom experience preferable in a Montessori classroom or K-3
At least 1 year of previous business or administrative experience
Exceptional organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong ability to multi-task
Willingness to obtain AMI Montessori certification
