AMI Trained Elementary Guide

Hershey Montessori School Painesville, OH
Hershey Montessori School seeks an AMI-trained Elementary Guide to start a new Elementary classroom for the 2018-19 school year. Celebrating its 40thyear of operation, HMS serves 211 children on the Concord Campus and 72 adolescents on the Huntsburg Campus - a Montessori farm school with a residential option for middle and high school.

Just 35 minutes from Cleveland’s cultural center, all of the Concord Campus programs are led by AMI-trained guides and include: two parent-infant programs, two A to I, and three full primary communities, which feed into our three long-established Elementary programs. The 13-acre Concord Campus offers outdoor environments directly accessible from every room, and children interact multiple times per day with green play spaces, woods, garden beds, and a chicken coop. All classrooms have fully-equipped prepared environments with the continued commitment to maintain beautiful materials and furnishings. Additional facilities include a gym, afterschool activity spaces, and music and art rooms.

Hershey is fortunate to have a high-fidelity Montessori program, with parents committed to, and advocating for, quality Montessori education for their children.

Hershey has a warm and vibrant staff culture built on collaboration, and supported by the long-term retention of experienced Montessori guides. The selected candidate will join a dynamic team of experienced Elementary Montessori teachers and staff. Guided by an experienced and AMI-trained Head of School, HMS enjoys reflecting on and deepening Montessori theory and practice, fostering relationships that create a community of adults and children who love learning and growing together.

Salary is commensurate with experience and AMI credentials, and benefits include tuition remission for staff children.
