Position overview:

Valley Forge Kinder House Montessori School (https://www.vfkh.org/) is seeking a lead guide for our Toddler Community located at our Limerick, Pennsylvania, USA campus. (https://www.phillymag.com/property/phoenixville-neighborhood-guide/). This well-established community is located in a lovely Toddler Casa on 4 peaceful and bucolic acres perched alongside another structure that houses the Primary /Children’s House community. The guide/teacher will be a trained AMI Montessorian committed to leading these children. The teacher is responsible for guiding the curriculum, fostering community and assisting with parent education, and partaking in all school activities. The Toddler Guide brings comfort and competencies in the implementation of IEP guidance and support. The guide should possess a committed understanding and passion for authentic Montessori, as well as have the ability to work collaboratively within our community. VFKH Montessori School: 

Valley Forge Kinder House Montessori School was founded in 1977 by Susan and Edward Kelly. We will be moving into the future with their daughter Bernadette Kelly leading VFKH forward. They are all committed to offering a quality, genuine Montessori experience where the children are the focal point. Mrs. Kelly is an AMI Primary Guide herself, and Ms. Bernadette Kelly a dedicated AMI Toddler Guide have dedicated themselves to promoting the pedagogy and fostering the growth of not just the students of VFKH, but the parents and teachers as well. VFKH has two campuses, one in Limerick, Pa, and one in Phoenixville, Pa, offering Toddler through 6th-grade Montessori environments. VFKH is proud to be a recognized AMI Montessori school where independence, respect, and a love of learning have space to be fostered and flourish.

When a child joins VFKH, it is truly their family joining our community. With this perspective, the school hosts a variety of events throughout the year that provides parents a chance to get involved in the school, as well as further their understanding of Montessori. Requirements:

– Bachelors degree

– AMI Toddler degree

– Some experience

– Pass all state and local clearances

– PA teacher license or the qualifications to obtain one

– Loves to learn and grow alongside their fellow Montessorians and students

– Confident and experienced in providing lessons, while understanding the underlying purpose of each

Salary:
