Abintra Montessori School is a beautiful gem in the greater Nashville Community. Long-established, the community benefits from strong enrollment and dedicated colleagues and families.
We are currently staffing for a Primary Guide and a Primary Assistant. Respective job duties include:
Primary Guide Key Functions:
• Implementation of Montessori Curriculum;
• Planning and Preparation of Materials and Environments;
• Documentation of Student Progress;
• Communicating with Staff, Parents and Administration.
Representative Activities:
1. Implementation and Documentation of Program Curriculum and Student Progress
2. Understand Montessori philosophy and curriculum
3. Implementation of curriculum according to individual child’s developmental level and needs.
4. Thoughtful and consistent work with assistant, Team, and Campus partners
5. Document curriculum implementation and uniform record keeping
6. Commitment to reflective practices and ongoing Montessori-focused professional development
Primary Assistant Key Functions:
Assist the guide in establishing and maintaining a high-quality Montessori environment through proactive and intentional support of children ages 2.9 through 6 and their developmental needs. Clear and open communication and strong classroom presence
Representative Activities:
1. Assist in the structure, schedule, and management of the classroom so the guide can focus on giving lessons, assessing, and observing
2. Assist with the preparation of materials and implementation of the classroom curriculum
3. Annually follow checklist of responsibilities that are tasks and duties developed with the classroom guide
4. Supporting strong communication with Parents as directed and supported by Guide
5. Commitment to reflective practices and ongoing Montessori-focused professional development
