Moore Montessori Community School (MMCS), a public charter school, is seeking trained Primary and Elementary Montessori Guides to open new classrooms as part of a planned school expansion as we move to our new permanent home: a historic 14-acre public school campus in downtown Southern Pines, NC.

Guides lead mixed-age learning communities using the Montessori method in fully-equipped classrooms. MMCS staff includes an AMI-trained administrator, an AMI-trained instructional coach, and a highly-effective student support team.  Some of our school priorities include cultivating a love of learning among students; reflective teaching practices; supporting positive guidance; connecting children to nature; and implementing gracious community lunches and active going-out programs.

About Downtown Southern Pines

Nestled in old growth longleaf pine forests,  Southern Pines is a charming, walkable downtown with parks, outdoor concerts, independent movie theater, library, yoga, dance and crossfit studios. Locally-owned shops along Broad Street include: fine foods and cheese shops, bicycle shop, knitting shop, and bookstore alongside cafes, pubs and restaurants.
