PhD Students Sought

University of Virginia

Angeline Lillard is seeking 1-2 AMI-trained Montessori teachers who would like to work towards a PhD in Psychology, developing their research skills (including statistical analysis) pertinent to Montessori education at the University of Virginia Department of Psychology (Division of Arts and Sciences), to begin August 2023.

The PhD program typically takes 4-6 years; 5 years are fully funded on a livable stipend, with tuition and health insurance covered. Graduates with a PhD might go on to Training of Trainers, a professor job at a university, a research role at an education/development organization, and/or a higher level administrative role in a school or district.

A BA/BS degree from a 4-year college is necessary; prior research experience and a background in Psychology are a plus. There is no online portion; the program is entirely residential.
