Located just a few minutes from downtown Cleveland and University Circle in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Ruffing Montessori School seeks a bright, energetic, and collaborative full-time AMI-trained faculty member for our Lower Elementary. This co-educational, independent school, with over a 60 year history, serves children 18 months through 8th grade.

The ideal candidate will have earned an AMI Elementary Diploma (6-12 year olds), possess strong classroom management skills, and have relevant experience working with young children. The incumbent will be a highly motivated individual, knowledgeable about the care and development of all children. This position will lead a group of 25-30 children and manage the care and maintenance of a Montessori Lower Elementary environment with the aid of a classroom assistant teacher. The incumbent must have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with families and colleagues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for working with a team of professionals and possess a positive spirit and willingness to work cooperatively in an atmosphere of respect. The successful candidate will demonstrate keen enthusiasm and appreciation for Ruffing’s culture, values, and mission. Teaching experience in a Montessori environment is required.
