Lead Toddler Guide

Amelia Island Montessori School

Amelia Island Montessori School (AIMS) is seeking a Toddler Guide to join our team of dedicated early childhood professionals in our Toddler Program beginning at the start of the 2023-2024 academic year. The model candidate will be someone who nurtures young children, is flexible, has a strong desire to work as part of a team, and is passionate about creating and maintaining a beautiful educational environment while following the Montessori philosophy.

Responsibilities include:

~ Supervising and guiding children ages 18 months-3 years old and delivering developmentally-appropriate Montessori Curriculum for the program level

~ Implementing activities to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of the children

~ Setting an example for children by modeling honesty, respect, kindness and understanding

~ Maintaining the safety and well-being of children in the classroom by providing a safe and prepared environment

~ Fully participating in and collaborating with AIMS team members and Administration in furtherance of the school’s mission

~ Engaging in clear, respectful, and effective communication with children, parents, team members and administrators

~ Accepting all other duties assigned by the Head of School in furtherance of the mission of the school, and in support of the day-to-day operations required to deliver AIMS programs

Requirements:

~Bachelor’s Degree required

~ Montessori 0-3 Credential required (or willingness to immediately begin training in order to obtain)

~ Successfully complete pre-employment background check, TB test, etc.

~ Successfully complete DCF childcare training within three months of start date

~ Successfully complete CPR and First Aid course
