Are you an experienced, AMI-trained Primary Guide in search of a pathway to AMI Elementary Training? Are you in search of a school community led by experienced, AMI-trained Guides and dedicated to sharing the benefits of Montessori with families of diverse backgrounds?
CMC is in search of a self-starting, AMI-trained Primary Guide with work experience in fully-implemented Montessori to take over our founding Director’s work Guiding one of our two Children’s House communities. We are open to candidates that are currently completing their AMI Primary training as well as candidates that are interested in other leadership roles in our organization in the short or long term! Those with interest in joining our team without AMI training should consider applying for our Children’s House Assistant opening.
The strongest candidates will be interested in opportunities to undertake AMI Elementary Guide training starting as soon as the summer of 2026 with completion no later than August of 2029.
Our vision is to use the beautiful mid-century church building and property we own — in the vibrant and diverse Northland area of Columbus, Ohio — to build an accessible, nonprofit Montessori program capable of serving diverse families of children from 12 weeks to 12 years!
Our new Children’s House Guide will benefit from:
•CMC’s comprehensive compensation structure, including: salaried employment contracts starting at $45,000/school year (and $56,000/school year + summer); health, dental, vision, and life insurance; a fee waiver for eligible dependents; ample paid time off; significant professional development opportunities, and a relocation bonus at contract signing!
•An intentionally diverse community of children and families within the structure of a Montessori-aligned school culture and the aid of mission-driven administrators!
•The opportunity to individualize and develop a large, already well-stocked Children’s House with a full wall of windows overlooking CMC’s 15,000 square foot natural outdoor play space!
•Contributing to a capable and collaborative team of seven, including two other AMI-trained Guides and very strong Children’s House Assistants!
