Who We Are Looking For:
St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School is looking for a dedicated, compassionate individual to provide guidance and support to our Lower or Upper Elementary students as their Guide.
This person will help the children grow socially, academically, and spiritually through the Montessori method. This is a full-time position, primarily Monday-Friday; teachers are expected to be on campus from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on scheduled school days. Occasional evenings and weekend time are necessary.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School serves children from 16 months to 8th Grade. Our Catholic identity complements the Montessori method, which helps students understand their dignity as children of God, how to make good choices, and the importance of a faithful community. St. John the Baptist strives to nurture a culture of authentic joy, hope, and knowledge.

The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
– Deep devotion to Christ and to the Catholic Church
– Love children and desire to help them in their character, virtue, and faith development
– Possess or be in the process of possessing Montessori certification for the levels serving (St. John’s can provide training)
– Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in the area of Early Education, Elementary Education, or Montessori Education. A teaching license is preferred but not required.
– Have or build an understanding of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, or be open to learning about it
– Be able to maintain strong relationships with parents characterized by good will, mutual respect, and with the understanding that parents are the primary educators of their children.
