Elementary Guide

Childpeace Montessori is seeking an Elementary Guide to join our Elementary Program beginning August 2021.

The Elementary Guide will lead an established classroom with the support of an Assistant. Work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. during the school year with occasional evening and weekend commitments. The wage range for this position depends on experience and begins at $52,000 on an annual basis.

Our ideal candidate is a positive person who has a Bachelor’s degree and AMI Elementary Montessori Certification, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, Montessori Elementary classroom experience, embraces professional teamwork and collaboration, and brings a kind spirit to the important work of building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Art/music abilities, physical education/movement skills or facility with Spanish language are helpful supportive skills.

This position is salaried, exempt, and benefit-eligible (medical, dental, and vision insurance, and more).

Requirements upon hire:

Background clearance through Department of Human Services

Within 30 days must obtain:

Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificate

Food Handler Certification

Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN)

Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety (ICCHS)

Prevention is Better Than Treatment (PBTT)
