Elementary Assistant Teacher
Assistant,
The Post Oak School
“This is the way school should be!” is a phrase we have heard many times from The Post Oak School students and families. Would it inspire you to teach in an environment where children want to teach themselves? The Post Oak School is that place. Our children wake up every morning excited to go to school, and we’re looking for their next teacher to greet their joy, enthusiasm, and curiosity each day. Our Montessori principles guide us to value and respect others, from our children and their parents to our coworkers. We welcome you to take a closer look to see if you’d like to challenge the norm with us.
The Post Oak School is accepting applications for elementary classroom assistants to support the AMI curriculum in the Elementary program for ages 6-9 or 9-12. The school is widely known for its exceptional educational environment and has a national reputation as one of the oldest and largest Montessori schools in North America, one that graduates students who are well-prepared to create their own bold pathways and lead purposeful lives. We achieve this through the work of our talented, energetic, and supportive faculty community, who are passionate about their work and have an optimistic view of the capacities of children.
The Post Oak School is deeply committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) work because we know it is a vital component of a strong and vibrant educational institution. We are interested in applicants from diverse backgrounds who wish to collaborate within a dynamic community of faculty and staff, can contribute to the development of a culturally responsive curriculum, and who can support a diverse student body, then we want you! Will you join us?
