School & Position Overview:
With 265 students, sought after graduates, over fifty years educating Bay Area children and teens, and located on two bustling, beautiful campuses in Corte Madera and San Rafael, Marin Montessori School is seeking its next Director of Admissions to join our vibrant school community.
A senior administrative position, the Director of Admissions works closely and collaboratively with the Head of School, administrative team, and faculty. Our shared goal is to attract and retain families from the San Francisco and Marin County areas who, even if not yet familiar with Montessori, seek an education for their children that is what we offer: a highly intentional education that cultivates independence, emotional intelligence, rich curiosity, intellectual aptitude, and an instinct toward and capacity for collaboration.
If not yet already conversant with Montessori’s pedagogy and philosophy, the incoming Director of Admissions will need to be a quick study and have a keen interest and excitement to learn. The position requires exceptionally positive interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm. The Director of Admissions cultivates vital relationships with faculty and prospective and current families, and is responsible for managing all aspects of admissions and enrollment management for programs that include toddler, primary, elementary, and junior high school level.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage prospective students and families from inquiry through enrollment
Lead digital marketing strategies and implementation
Administrate database management of prospective, accepting, and reenrolling families
Analyze enrollment patterns and predictions with metric based tools
Serve on the Tuition Assistance Committee
Supervise school’s Registrar & Database Manager to coordinate enrollment materials and management
Direct Open Houses
Regularly observe classes and attend parent education events
Work with Head of School to most effectively translate the strengths of a Montessori education into the language of current parents unfamiliar with Montessori or education in general
Create vibrant parent tour experiences
Collaborate with faculty and Level Directors to promote effective parent education and understanding of the educational program
Work with the Head of School and Development Office to create robust marketing materials
Develop best practices for and participation in area pre-school and independent school fairs
Participate in Bay Area Director of Admissions meetings and ongoing professional development
Cultivate an office atmosphere of openness, enthusiasm, and support
Required Qualifications:
At least three years in full time admissions position
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with and strong understanding of Montessori
Experience with early childhood
Marketing and branding experience

Salary and Hours:
This is an exempt, full-time administrative position. Start date is July 2021. The salary and benefits package is very competitive.
