Children’s House Classroom Guide
Childpeace Montessori School is seeking a Children’s House Classroom Guide to join our Children’s House Program beginning August 2021.
The Classroom Guide will lead a classroom with the support of an Assistant. Work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. during the school year with occasional evening and weekend commitments. The wage range for this position depends on experience and begins at $50,000 on an annual basis.
Our ideal candidate is a positive person who has a Bachelor’s degree and AMI Primary Montessori Certification, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, Montessori Primary classroom experience, embraces professional teamwork and collaboration, and brings a kind spirit to the important work of building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Art/music abilities, physical education/movement skills or facility with Spanish language are helpful skills.
This position is salaried, exempt, and benefit-eligible (medical, dental, and vision insurance, and more).
Requirements upon hire:
Enrollment in the Office of Child Care (OCC) Central Background Registry (CBR)
Within 30 days must obtain:
Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificate
Food Handler Certification
Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN)
Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety (ICCHS)
Prevention is Better Than Treatment (PBTT)
