AMI Trained Primary Guide

Guide/Teacher,

Pacific Crest School

Pacific Crest School is currently seeking an AMI trained Primary guide to take over an established classroom in fall of 2020. We are a well established community of dedicated families and staff that together create a vibrant Montessori program across the primary, elementary and adolescent levels. Our urban campus is located in a residential neighborhood in Seattle, WA, where we are easily accessible by bike and local transit. Our rural campus, utilized by all three levels, is a working farm with nut and fruit orchards, ponds, wetlands, and commercially productive organic gardens. It is on nearby Vashon Island and is only a moderate drive and ferry ride away. At Pacific Crest School, we foster the development of independence, self discipline and joy to support the fullest development of every child and make real peace and justice possible.

Pacific Crest is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to building a diverse faculty and community. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, matching retirement, paid professional development, and paid sick leave and holidays. The ideal candidate will have:

AMI Primary diploma and teaching experience, preferably 3 – 10 years;

Lead Teacher qualifications through the Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF);

A two or four-year degree;

Strong communication skills with children, parents, and co-workers;
