Mater Amoris Montessori School in Ashton, Maryland seeks a gentle, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable Primary Guide and Lower Elementary Guide to join our team beginning Fall 2022. Successful candidates will have an AMI Primary diploma and, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred). At least three years of classroom experience, preferably in a Montessori environment, is required.

Individuals wishing to be on staff at Mater Amoris Montessori School must demonstrate an ability to work as part of a dynamic and diverse team. Guides should be skilled at supporting the holistic development of children in their care, should be able to adapt lessons and learning experiences to meet the needs of the children, and should participate in ongoing monitoring of student growth and development. Strong communication skills, a commitment to ethical behavior, and a collaborative nature are key to building relationships with children, parents, and co-workers and are required of all members of the Mater Amoris team.
