POSITION: AMI Primary Guide (3-6) – Starting August 2025 (10-Month Program)
SALARY: $50K-$65K (based on experience, credentials, and contract type)

Aya Montessori is a vibrant and diverse AMI-recognized and MSDE-approved school community located in Columbia, MD. It serves over 175 children between the ages of 2 and 12, from YCC to Upper Elementary. With a dedicated team of 30+ staff members, Aya offers an authentic Montessori environment enriched with Arabic, Quran, and Islamic education, nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of future generations while fostering cultural and spiritual growth. Aya is opening its second branch in Sterling, VA in September 2025.
JOB SUMMARY:
Aya Montessori seeks an experienced AMI Primary Guide to nurture children’s academic, spiritual, socioemotional, and physical development. The ideal candidate will guide students in a prepared Montessori environment rooted in Grace & Courtesy while upholding the highest AMI Montessori standards. The Guide will collaborate with the Aya community to support each child’s growth and well-being.
REQUIRMENTS:
– AMI Primary Montessori Diploma – Required
– Bachelor’s Degree or 120 College Credits – Required (Foreign credentials must be evaluated by MSDE-approved organizations)
– Native English Speaker or Advanced English Skills – Required
1-5 years of Montessori experience – Preferred
– Basic understanding and respect for Islamic teachings and the Arabic language – Required
– OCC required courses (Basic Health & Safety, Communication, ADA) – Required (can be completed before the first day)
