Role Description:
Montessori at Roseborough is seeking a dedicated and passionate AMI Trained 0-3 Guide to join our team. As a Guide, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and prepared environment that supports the developmental needs of young children, fostering their independence, and respecting their natural growth.
Key Responsibilities:
– Create and maintain a prepared environment that meets the developmental needs of children ages 0-3 in accordance with AMI Montessori principles.
– Observe and respond to each child’s needs, supporting their physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
– Guide children through Montessori activities that promote independence, concentration, and a love of learning.
– Maintain an environment that promotes respect for each child’s individuality and learning pace.
– Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and offering insights into the Montessori method.
– Work collaboratively with administration and other staff members to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
– Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and development.
Qualifications:
– AMI diploma in Assistants to Infancy (0-3 years).
– Strong understanding of the Montessori philosophy and its application in the early years.
– Excellent observation skills and the ability to provide individualized guidance based on the child’s needs.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young children and their families.
– Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and education level. Benefits include PTO, professional development such as the AMI refresher course and one full scholarship for one child.
