We are looking for an Elementary Montessori educator, who is able start immediately or within the next few months on our farm-based Montessori school in the Northwestern Catskills of New York.

We are building an authentic Montessori school for ages 18 months – 18 years, on a permaculture farm in the beautiful hamlet of Bovina Center, NY. We currently have three classrooms open; toddler 18-36m, primary (children’s house) 3-6 yrs, and elementary 6-12 yrs. Our goal is to split the elementary class into two 3 year mixed classes during the school year 2022-2023.

The goal of the Bovina Center Montessori School is to:

Create a safe and nurturing atmosphere that promotes self-respect, respect for others, and the valuing of differences.

Create a challenging academic program at all levels and competencies that encourages students to be intellectually curious, to explore their creativity, and to get involved in the larger community in order to fulfill their potential.

Inspire a love of learning, through AMI-recognized programs

Help students acquire the tools necessary to learn and live independently.

Instill in our students the belief that each and every one of them has something important to contribute to the world.

Put emphasis on four core aspects that reflect our geographical region: nature conservation, the arts, sustainable farming/living, and entrepreneurship, through outdoor activities, work on the farm, and experiences in our beautiful natural surroundings.
