Middle School Math & Science Teacher
Chicago Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math & Science teacher for
Grades 7-8 to join our community for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate
will have experience teaching at the middle school level, a background in math and
science, the ability to differentiate learning, and the willingness to work collaboratively.
Applicants should enjoy working side-by-side with adolescents and have an interest in
utilizing our urban environment while embracing the many resources that a world-class
city has to offer. This is a unique invitation to work with a group of approximately fifteen
motivated students, supportive parents, and experienced, dedicated staff.
Requirements:
● Montessori Adolescent or Elementary 6-12 AMI Diploma is highly preferred but
not required; the candidate is interested in sponsored teacher training.
● 2+ years of teaching experience
● A passion to share expertise with adolescents
● Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with others
This is a full-time position that accommodates some daily schedule flexibility. Salary
range is $60,000-$70,000, and compensation is commensurate with education and
experience. Includes health and 401k benefits, paid holidays, a 9-month teaching
schedule, and tuition remission. Teacher training sponsorships are available.
Chicago Montessori is a teacher-founded and teacher-run school and one of fewer than
twenty-five fully recognized AMI schools for ages 0-12+ in the country. We are a
collaborative community of educators and parents committed to implementing an
authentic Montessori education. Our classroom environments embrace both English
and Spanish and serve children from infancy through 8th grade. Our Adolescent
Program is led by a team of practitioners who collaborate to implement an urban-based
education for peace as outlined by Dr. Maria Montessori.
