Guide/Teacher,

The Maria Montessori School

The Maria Montessori School in London

The Maria Montessori School, an extension of the Maria Montessori Institute, currently enrols over 200 children between the ages of 2.5 and 12 years across various sites in Northwest and West London. We are excited to announce our plans to open an urban AMI Adolescent programme in September 2023, and we are seeking qualified candidates to join our passionate team as the Lead Teacher of the Adolescent programme (12 to 16 year olds). An AMI 12-18 Diploma (or interest in obtaining the diploma), or an AMI/NAMTA Orientation certificate is required for the position, and experience with elementary children or adolescents is preferred. The role will entail developing a rich offering of lessons and opportunities across all disciplines and all aspects of the AMI Adolescent programme, building relationships amongst experts in London that will allow for side-by-side learning, collaborating with specialists to provide a strong sense of engagement in extracurricular areas through a Montessori lens, and facilitating strong, professional relationships with the parents and families of the school. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion, as well as to safeguarding the welfare of children. The Adolescent Lead Teacher role is a full-time, salaried position beginning in September 2023. Successful applicants are required to provide enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by the employer.
