We are growing our Adolescent Programming and are seeking to add a Montessori Adolescent Guide to our community. Currently our program is small with only one other general Montessori Adolescent Guide running the program, however, are ambitions and dreams are big, and the right candidate will be able to join the community during its beginning years, enabling the ability to influence the design and direction of the program.

We are situated in the beautiful northwestern Catskill mountains of upstate New York, on a 50-acre old dairy farm-turned-summer-camp-turned Montessori school. We are blessed with beautiful old buildings that are being meticulous renovated and lots of outdoor opportunities to work on the land. We have streams, forests, trails, ponds, fields, barns, and more – the sky is limit for building a dream environment for our students.

Our school services students from ages 8 weeks and up, with the hope of adding a high school in a few years.

The right candidate would be someone interested and/or have experience in our school’s specific areas of focus, including nature and nature conservation, the arts, sustainability and entrepreneurship, which reflects the work and life of our population in the region. Our fair proximity to New York City allows for diversification and interesting families and settlers in the area, while the rural and historical stories run deep.

The candidate should be open to operating with multiple different subjects, even if certain subjects are more favored, and have a great interest in the Montessori philosophy and principles. Montessori experience is ideal, however, we offer scholarships/financial aid to candidates currently undergoing or having been accepted into an AMI diploma training program, and are more interested in finding the right person wishing to build this school together with us!
