Oak Knoll Montessori School seeks a passionate and inspired individual to co-lead our established adolescent program (7th and 8th grade) starting fall 2021. Our adolescent program is a self-contained class of fifteen students with two teachers leading the program. Responsibilities are balanced between the teachers. We have an active garden and chickens on site and we go into the community to explore how the world works and to ignite interest in our students. We seek an adult who has an enthusiasm for learning and sharing their knowledge in a number of subjects including mathematics. The exact position is negotiable based on skills. Among other things, we look for someone with the following skills to share:

Mathematics for Middle School (required)

Interdisciplinary Social Studies and English

Lead the Hot Lunch Program (make lunch once a week for the campus)

Other interests such as drama, camping, arts, gardening, etc.

The right person would be able to work closely with adolescents, create units of interest and relevance, and contribute to the vibrant fabric of our adolescent community. This position is full time with benefits.

Our growing, AMI recognized school in beautiful Altadena, CA is seeking an additional full-time Adolescent teacher to join our dedicated team. We are a growing school, serving 110 children from eighteen months to fifteen years old. The ideal candidate would have prior experience teaching adolescent students, and have an appropriate college-level education background.
