A to I and Primary Guides

Guide/Teacher,

Mater Amoris Montessori School

Mater Amoris Montessori School seeks a gentle, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable Primary Guide to join our team beginning Fall 2021. Successful candidates will have an AMI Primary diploma and, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred). At least three years of classroom experience, preferably in a Montessori environment, is required.

Mater Amoris also seeks a gentle, innovative, and highly adaptable A to I guide as we plan for the addition of an Infant and Toddler Community in Fall 2021. Successful candidates will have an AMI A to I diploma and, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred). At least five years of classroom experience in a Montessori environment is required. As this is a new program, preference will be given to candidates who are self-driven and can demonstrate the vision for launching a successful program. We are looking for someone who will work closely with the administration to plan the environment and develop the program.

Individuals wishing to be on staff at Mater Amoris must demonstrate an ability to work as part of a dynamic and diverse team. Guides should be skilled at supporting the holistic development of children in their care, should be able to adapt lessons and learning experiences to meet the needs of the children, and should participate in ongoing monitoring of student growth and development. Candidates must be prepared to implement the Montessori method indoors, outdoors, and/or in a remote format as we continue to navigate the pandemic. Strong communication skills, a commitment to ethical behavior, and a collaborative nature are key to building relationships with children, parents, and co-workers and are required of all members of the Mater Amoris team.

Qualified candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample to jobs@materamoris.org.
