In 1915 Maria Montessori traveled to San Francisco, California to attend the Panama Pacific International Exposition at which she had built a glass-walled demonstration classroom. In this volume we publish a series of lectures she delivered at the Exposition, some lectures she gave elsewhere in California and several articles she wrote for the local press. This book is interesting for those interested in the history of education and the development of Montessori’s educational theories and methods.
