Nature’s Way Montessori School in Knoxville, TN is seeking an occupations (land-based science) teacher for our Adolescent Community beginning with the 2014-15 academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating science and math curriculum with environmental stewardship and applied projects. We are seeking a creative, motivated individual who can work in a dynamic, collaborative, and demanding environment. Applicants should fully embrace and support the full spectrum of opportunities available to the students.
Candidates must have a four-year college degree, a background in applied science/math, and teaching experience (preferably adolescents). AMI (NAMTA) Orientation to Adolescent Studies is preferred; the school is willing to sponsor training for qualified candidate.
Nature’s Way Montessori School is in its 31st year and serves students from primary-adolescence. It is located on seven acres in a suburban setting. Our middle school program is entering its 15th year and is preparing for its first year as a land-based adolescent program (ages 12 – 14). This is a vibrant and stable program with an experienced and long-term staff.
