Elementary Trained Support Director
Forest Bluff School is Hiring an Elementary-Trained Support Director.
The primary role of the Support Director is to support three elementary level teachers, particularly the Head of School, who teaches a hard-working lower elementary class. This support includes material making, substitute teaching and assisting children with editing in their classrooms. You will learn classroom management from seasoned teachers. This is a great position for someone who would like to extend the experience of what is learned in training before taking on a classroom of one’s own.
In addition to supporting the elementary classrooms, the Support Director provides support to the office staff and assists with day-to-day operations of the school, including answering phones, sending mailings, and attending to observers and visitors. You will become quickly emerged in all aspects of how a successful Montessori school functions.
The ideal candidate for the role of Support Director will be Elementary-trained, have confident grammar and writing skills, a positive attitude and a great work ethic. This position requires a willingness to help other teachers and ability to transition from task to task. Some computer experience is beneficial, but not necessary.
Forest Bluff School is located in Lake Bluff, Illinois. It serves approximately 150 students, ages 18 months to 14 years old. This private, AMI-accredited school was founded in 1982 by Paula Polk Lillard and Lynn Lillard Jessen and continues to serve as one of the leading schools in the Montessori community.
