St. Catherine˙s Montessori School in Houston, Texas seeks visionary Head of School to fill the position of retiring principal with tenure of 12 years dedicated and faithful service to school community. Ideal candidate should be AMI trained and certified with both classroom and administrative experience, or at the very least, be well informed about best practices in Montessori education, and hold a master˙s degree, preferably in educational administration with a minimum of five years teaching experience. Applicant must be deeply committed to building and maintaining an authentic Catholic Montessori school which is now beginning its 44th year of continuous operation. Qualifications include: AMI Montessori training; practicing Catholic with a masters degree, preferably in educational administration; a minimum of five years teaching experience; prior administrative experience; strong leadership skills; excellent communication skills; strong understanding of non-profit administration and fundraising; and a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy.
