Directress Sought for Unique Position.  For the directress who is not quite ready to leave the classroom but would like to explore working in the administration of a small Montessori school, this position is for you!  The Arlington Montessori House located in Arlington, VA, is looking to add an experienced AMI-trained directress to our staff.  We run two primary Montessori classrooms during the school year which combines to form one classroom for the summer; the primary responsibility of this third directress is to guide the one classroom in the summer Montessori program.  When not in the classroom during the summer, this directress would join the office and be primarily responsible for providing support to the administrator in a variety of ways, including support to and collaboration with our two school year directresses and the after care program staff on classroom, student and parent matters; substitution into the classroom as needed, assistance with the parent education and partnership programs; and assistance with staff training.  The work schedule (either 10-month or year-round) and salary are negotiable.  The position may start in January 2012 but will start no later than June 1, 2012.  This is a full-time position with regard to administrative work.  The summer hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.   The school is not in a position to provide financial assistance to sponsor a candidate from abroad or to obtain work visas.  If you have any questions or would like to apply, please send us a resume at employment4344@gmail.com.
